What are Super-Curricular Activities?

Super-curricular activities take your subject further than what you’ve been taught in class or set for homework.

At Calday Sixth Form, we focus on building strong subject knowledge to help you secure competitive university offers. Top universities don’t just look at grades—they want evidence that you’ve worked independently and shown real interest in your subject beyond the A level syllabus.

Students who regularly complete super-curricular activities are more likely to get multiple university offers or be invited to interviews, including for apprenticeships.

Examples of super-curricular activities:
• Watching and reviewing films, documentaries or TED talks
• Reading books, journals or articles related to your subject
• Listening to relevant podcasts
