Why study Business Studies?
Business Studies emphasises the ever-changing character of business, the diverse nature of business enterprise and the inter-dependence of the various sections of the business world.
It is an exciting and contemporary subject and introduces students to the complex world of business. Students develop a knowledge of the environment in which organisations operate in. They will develop an understanding of core business concepts and grow a broad appreciation of how businesses work.
Whether your aim is to pursue an academic career, train for a profession or become an entrepreneur, you will develop the knowledge and skills needed to analyse data, think critically about issues and make informed decisions – all skills that are needed for further study and employment. Related degrees including business studies, business management and international business to more specialised fields such as business with marketing or business with psychology. Some of our students go on to study economics or accountancy related degrees, however, Business Studies is a useful spring board to many other degree options.

Entry Guidelines
In addition to the Sixth Form entry criteria, students wishing to study this subject are required to have a grade 6 in English Language or English Literature at GCSE (or equivalent).
